II.
Application Instructions
Applicants
are requested to submit the following materials:
1.
One resume (one in Chinese and one in English);
2.
One bachelor's, master's, and doctoral dissertation each (if you have
multiple degrees, you must provide one in Chinese and one in English);
3.
One transcript each for your bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees;
(If
you have multiple degrees, you must provide both)
4.
One bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree certificates (copies).
Chinese citizens who have obtained academic qualifications abroad must
provide a certificate from the Ministry of Education's Overseas Study
Service Center;
(If

5.
Chinese citizens must provide one English score for IELTS, TOEFL,
Duolingo, GRE, GMAT, or CET-8;
(If
you have taken multiple exams, all scores must be provided. American
citizens or permanent residents whose native language is English do not

20-30 works that can prove personal writing ability (no restrictions on
genres and themes, published or unpublished);
7.
US citizens and US permanent residents must provide SSN numbers and
proof of no criminal record;

background checks on US citizens and US permanent residents, and it will
be kept strictly confidential)
8.
Chinese citizens (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) and US
citizens must provide copies of the following documents (the originals
will be returned after inspection, and the copies will be retained):
Mainland
Chinese residents must provide the People's Republic of China Resident
Identity Card and the People's Republic of China Passport;
Hong
Kong residents must provide the Hong Kong Permanent Resident Identity
Card, the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, and
the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Passport;
Macau
residents must provide the Macau Permanent Resident Identity Card, the
Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, and the Macau
Special Administrative Region Passport;
Taiwan
residents must provide the Republic of China National Identity Card, the

One credit report inquiry authorization letter (only for Chinese
citizens, only for our office to conduct background checks on Chinese
applicants)
10.
One copy of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) score. (Only for U.S.
citizens and U.S. permanent residents, Chinese citizens whose native
language is Chinese do not need to provide)
III.
Interview and admission procedures
1.
Conduct a preliminary review of the applicant's information, and those
who pass the preliminary review will be sent an interview notice;
2.
Two rounds of interviews will be conducted for U.S. citizens and U.S.
permanent residents living in the United States (excluding overseas
territories):
The
first round of interviews will be conducted by our office's foreign
legal experts in New York to interview U.S. legal practice skills;
The
second round of interviews will be conducted by our office's legal
experts in China to interview Chinese writing skills and Chinese legal
practice skills (video)
3.
Two rounds of interviews will be conducted for applicants from China
(including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan):
The
first round will be conducted by our foreign legal experts to interview
legal English and American legal practice skills (video);
The
second round will be conducted by our legal experts stationed in China
to interview Chinese writing skills and Chinese legal practice skills.
4.
Those who pass the interview will enter the background check, and those
who pass the background check will be admitted.
